REHOUSE powers Europe’s green renovation revolution – discover the latest press release from our sister project

Our sister project REHOUSE, part of the Network of Building Renovation Projects alongside e-SAFE, has just published its first official press release highlighting the project's contribution to the EU’s green transition in the building sector.

Available here, the release showcases how REHOUSE plays a key role in the EU’s Renovation Wave, developing eight innovative renovation packages that include solutions such as smart wall systems, intelligent windows, bio-based façades, and centralised heating and cooling. These solutions aim to cut energy use by over 60%, reduce on-site construction time by up to 50%, and lower carbon emissions – all while preserving architectural identity and affordability.

What makes REHOUSE stand out is its people-centred approach: renovations are designed to be minimally disruptive, enhance indoor comfort, and involve local communities through targeted social innovation actions.

As a proud member of the Network of Building Renovation Projects, e-SAFE supports and amplifies the work of fellow initiatives like REHOUSE. Together, we are driving forward a shared mission to transform Europe’s building stock into a more sustainable, smart, and future-proof environment.

Stay tuned for more updates from the network – and explore how collaboration is key to powering the green renovation revolution.
