World Conference on Timber Engineering – Call for Abstracts 2023

The Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU) – an e-SAFE partner – is involved in the organization of the 2023 World Conference on Timber Engineering (WCTE), a biennial excellent platform conceived to promote discussions about the latest advances in the use of wood in structures.

The Conference will be held in Oslo from 19-22 June 2023 and will be the stage of the latest technical and architectural solutions and innovations in timber constructions through five main topics: Material and Innovative products; Sustainability and Environmental Impact; Timber Engineering; Timber Architecture; and Implementation.

In particular, the organizers want to emphasize the research and exploration within wood mechanics and timber structures. This is way a Call for Abstracts is open for submissions until March 2022: to foster knowledge and the exchange of good practices while focusing on sustainability and the role of wood as an attractive and environmentally friendly material.

We therefore invite our partners and whoever may be interested in the field of timber technology for construction, timber structures, and the design of timber architecture, to participate to this prestigious scientific forum and to submit their papers to enhance dialogue and enrich WCTE’s contents.
