e-SAFE: WHAT'S IN THE POT?

Innovative technical solutions and implementation protocols, new business models and financial tools, engagement and training of a wide variety of actors: the e-SAFE approach to deep energy and seismic building renovation. e-SAFE aims to transform the EU market of building renovation, in order to contribute to the EU targets for 2030 and 2050.

OBJECTIVES

PRIMARY ENERGY SAVING

reduction of non-renewable primary energy by at least 80% in the renovated buildings.

DECARBONISATION

reduction of greenhouse gas emissions by the building stock

DECREASED SEISMIC VULNERABILITY

increased seismic resilience of the building stock, reduced damages and casualties in case of earthquake

REDUCTION OF TIME AND COSTS

reduction of time and costs of renovation if compared to current practice

MINIMAL DISTURBANCE

to minimize occupants’ disturbance and time on-site

GREATER APPEAL

to develop a viable co-design protocol able to increase the functional and aesthetic benefits of e-SAFE solutions

AFFORDABILITY

innovative business models in order to facilitate the financing of the project

ENHANCED COMPETENCES

training of building professionals to improve the quality of deep renovation

Our technologies

-PANEL

DECARBONISATION POTENTIAL
SEISMIC RESISTANCE
ADAPTABILITY

e-PANEL consists in adding to the outer walls customizable, prefabricated, multifunctional panels with low environmental impact, made of a timber structure combined with local insulating bio-materials and the desired finishing
